This was not their first battle with the Fire Demon, nor would it be their last.
In the midst of desperation and bloodshed, the dwarves of the Clock Kingdom had already crystallized their sense of duty and hope into an immortal wall of flesh and blood. They vowed to forever trap the Fire Demon within this clock, never allowing it to escape.
The Fire Demon let out a roar in anger again, "Bastards...bastards...bastards...!"
A dwarf shot an arrow into his left eye. Of course, the iron arrow could not pierce the Fire Demon's cornea. The arrow broke and was then melted into molten iron.
But it was this strike that brought a hint of clarity to the enraged eyes of the Fire Demon.
The Fire Demon suddenly calmed down. He looked around at the bizarre gear islands and held his head, "What have I done?"
"Son of Forest, Pan God, Ancient Clam..."
"These people have all deceived me."
"You bastards, look at what you've done to me, do I retain even a shred of humanity now?"
