What is Tao?

Because "Tao" encompasses far too many things.
A single grass, a flower...all could be parts of Tao.
The most common interpretation includes: humans conform to the earth, the earth conforms to the heavens, the heavens conform to the Tao, and the Tao conforms to nature.
Thus, in a sense, Tao can be understood as the fundamental nature and laws governing the vast universe and myriad worlds.
Definitely the most fundamental laws.
As for which laws could be considered the most fundamental...
