Elise was curious, eager to find out who could easily arrange for Link to return after the Supreme Council had suddenly tightened control over the portals between two universes—someone seemingly omnipotent.
Nothing should be a secret.
Link didn't brush it off, nor did he conceal anything, and truthfully told her, "I sought Mr. Xu Jing."
"Mr. Xu Jing?"
Elise was quite surprised. "Why think to find him? Will he help? I thought you would look for Lotson."
Link smiled and said, "Since it's inevitable, let's not avoid it and hit it head-on instead."
"What do you mean? I don't understand."
Elise frowned slightly, not quite understanding. She then shook her head and said, "Never mind, you don't have to explain. I know a bit about your circumstances now, and I don't want to get involved—it's too troublesome."
"I also don't want to involve you."
Link stated sincerely, from the heart, and not to deceive.
