The magnificent blue flame-flowers had already filled the entire space, seemingly boundless. They floated quietly in the water, only to be instantly stirred and shattered by the whooshing of a massive form. Roars and low growls carried through the water as a profound bass.
The water obeyed some force, while those flames seemed to exist on another plane. They gathered with the water's ripples but never extinguished. Every time the green form swept past, they clung to it, and soon, the shapes of two serpentine creatures hidden in the dark water were outlined by dots of faint blue.
The sleek figure of the Black Chi became indistinct.
But it never stopped attacking for a moment, its frequency nearing madness. Many times, it aimed solely at inflicting heavy damage on its target, allowing another set of sharp teeth to tear scales from its body.
