Chapter 26 - Chapter 23: Beauty Embryo【Seeking Follow-up Reading】_1

"I wonder where that Crow Demon and Red Pi have run off to now?"

He carefully navigated through the intertwined undergrowth and thorns of the dense forest.

Lu Fei mused quietly.

Neither of those two guys were fools, though.

Although the Crow Demon had a big mouth and was quite touchy, he was not afraid to face the music when times got tough; he was brave, and could fly.

As long as he was not as unlucky as Lu Fei, he should be able to survive this battle.

As for the Little Pig Demon, Red Pi, he was taciturn and introverted but smart and steady. In theory, he should survive this battle as well.

But the reality was different.

Because he was too weak.

He could neither fly like the Crow Demon nor match Lu Fei's speed.

Should he encounter other powerful demons, he would certainly be in the most danger.

"But hopefully, they can both avoid peril..."

Lu Fei carefully moved forward, his nose constantly sniffing the air for scents and his eyes scanning the surroundings.

Having just survived an arrow wound, with the arrow still stuck in his ear, made him even more cautious.

He glanced towards a cluster of thorny undergrowth in the distance.

Moving as quietly as possible, he couldn't make out what creature had been hiding and attacked him.

But judging by their archery skills, this unknown adversary was most certainly stronger than himself.

With his nearly three-meter frame, charging ahead without a plan wouldn't guarantee a catch, but getting shot by an arrow was certain.

He did not want to take that risk.

Plus, there might be other powerful demons lurking about in these dense woods.

After all, plenty of demons had fled to the surrounding forests during the previous battle, with the remaining battle traces and bodies serving as poignant reminders.

Although Lu Fei had become a demon and was now much larger than a common wild wolf.

He did not possess any other divine skills yet, and his innate divine ability was just an auxiliary skill.

All he had to his advantage, when compared to a wild wolf, was his larger size...

Larger in size...

Suddenly, Lu Fei had an idea.

With a thought, his originally nearly three-meter-long big white wolf body quickly shrank to the size of a normal white wolf, about one and a half meters long.

"This should make me less noticeable..."

He turned his head to glance at his current form, thinking to himself.

Despite the arrow still lodged in his ear...

He shook his head–when he was larger, he barely noticed it.

But now that he was smaller, the arrow dangling from his ear was quite troublesome and kept causing him pain.

Therefore, Lu Fei lowered his head, extended a claw to press against the arrow shaft, and firmly stepped down on it.

"Crack..."

The arrow shaft snapped cleanly under pressure.

Pain immediately contorted Lu Fei's face.

He dismissively ignored the remaining stub still lodged in his ear and kept his eyes on the thicket while he slowly circled around it.

...

"Damn eagle..."

Within the dense and sprawling thorny vine thicket in the forest.

A large black crow was curled up, cautiously peering through the spiny tiny leaves while cursing softly, "Damn eagle..."

"One day I'll pluck your feathers out and roast you..."

Not far from the thorny thicket, perched on a towering tree branch, a large black eagle sat, its incredibly sharp gaze scanning the forest below.

As the giant eagle's gaze swept over the place where the vines were.

The Crow Demon immediately stopped cursing audibly and continued doing so in his mind.

This went on for quite a while.

After repeatedly scanning the forest below, the giant black eagle finally gave up the search, spread its wings, and flew towards the sky, quickly vanishing from sight above the forest.

Beneath the vines.

Watching the eagle disappear, the Crow Demon heaved a sigh of relief as he flopped to the ground.

A total disgrace...

Though he was a well-known Little Demon with quite a reputation at Rolling Mountain, and his brother, White Fur, was a key aide to the Bear leader, here he was, being chased into a dire situation by the Eagle Demon from Snake Coil Mountain.

In the end, he could only hide within the thorny bushes on the ground. Such an embarrassing move.

However, he had no other options. He stood no chance against the Eagle Demon.

He could only vow revenge for the moment.

Once he joined up with his big brother and third brother, he wouldn't have to fear the Eagle Demon anymore.

"I wonder how they both are doing now..."

The Crow Demon slumped within the thorny bushes, too demoralized to consider leaving, worry seeping into his heart.

Previously in the mountain valley battlefield, after managing to evade the powerful Snake Demon by flying up into the sky, he caught the attention of the very Eagle Demon.

As he was driven away from the mountain valley by the Eagle Demon, he saw the Snake Demon pursuing his big brother, White Wolf.

He didn't know whether White Wolf managed to escape the Snake Demon or not, or if he was safe now.

And then there was Red Pi...

Just as the Crow Demon was worrying for his two brothers.

In a forest.

A rustling noise could be heard in the distance.

The noise grew closer and closer.

Suddenly, a large brown wild boar appeared within the forest.

"Bang bang bang bang bang..."

The boar charged and tore through everything in its path like a small tank.

Even though this mini tank was riddled with wounds, and a particularly gruesome scar wrapped around its neck.

Following it, an even larger beast pursued it calmly.

...

It drew closer...

Even closer...

Lu Fei cautiously advanced towards the lush thornbush before him, step by careful step.

Peering through cracks within the thornbush, he caught sight of the pink outline of the creature hiding within.

He only realized now that the head he saw retract into the bush earlier was pink.

The demon who had shot him with an arrow was hiding inside.

He could even hear a crunching noise coming from within the thorns...like the sound of gnawing bones.

His proximity was getting closer and closer.

Lu Fei slowed his steps, even his breaths becoming more restrained...he was holding his breath.

Suddenly.

"Crack..."

A breaking twig sound suddenly emerged from under his feet.

"Damn..."

Surprised, Lu Fei tensed up, but before he could react, a pink figure swiftly jumped out from the thornbush and escaped towards the front.

"Not so fast!"

Enraged, Lu Fei quickly followed, hot on the bright pink tail of the figure.

He then got a clear look.

The fleeing pink figure was actually a Rabbit Demon, a pink Female Rabbit Demon to be specific.

Her round posterior and the constantly shaking contour of her chest made it clear.

A rabbit demon with a rabbit head and a mouth full of fresh blood stains might be a beauty to other demons, but to Lu Fei, it definitely was not.

He was determined to kill this rabbit, to avenge the arrow shot in his ear.

Rabbits are not slow creatures.

The Demon Rabbit in front of him might not be slower than Lu Fei at all.

However, the fleeing Rabbit Demon, in her transformed state, was gradually being caught up by Lu Fei.

In the end, just as they were about to leave the forest.

Lu Fei pounced on her, pressing the Female Rabbit Demon firmly beneath him.

"Hmm, quite a good-looking specimen..."

Just then.

An unexpected voice suddenly sounded.

Lifting his head to the source of the sound, Lu Fei saw a scene he would remember for the rest of his life: the mighty Bull King of Rolling Mountain was respectfully kneeling before a dark-skinned young man.

Beside them, the Snake Great King of Snake Coil Mountain bore an expression of terror, her face pale with fear.
