"Are you in such a hurry?"
Upon hearing Xu Mu's plan to leave and to take his family along, Li Youlan inquired with a puzzled tone.
"I have my reasons that I have to do it." Xu Mu explained with a smile.
Xu Mu didn't elaborate, and Li Youlan didn't pry.
She simply asked if he had to relocate his family?
"With me here, nobody will harm them." Li Youlan added ruefully, "The way you're acting, I can't help but wonder if you're planning on disappearing and never returning."
It had been centuries of friendship, and she felt safer with Xu Mu around.
"As long as I am alive, I promise I will return. Your Highness, rest assured, I'm only doing this as a contingency."
Seeing Xu Mu so resolute, Li Youlan refrained from further persuasion.
After discussing some other matters, Xu Mu asked her to take care of the people he was leaving behind, then bid farewell.
