Though Li Xuan felt quite awful as he walked out of the book collection building, he maintained an overall composure. Even though he was disappointed, it hadn't reached the point of ceaseless worry.
This had to do with the temperament Li Xuan had developed since childhood. As mentioned before , due to a congenital heart disease, Li Xuan's parents divorced when he was seven, and they each began their own families anew, marrying and having children .
After that, Li Xuan, feeling abandoned and reduced to an unnecessary child by his parents, led a few years of unrestrained rebellion. It wasn't until his second year of high school that his homeroom teacher convinced him to accept that his life would always be his own, even if it might be short.
Thereafter, he buckled down and studied hard. A year later, he was admitted to a forensic medicine program and eventually became a forensic doctor at a police station, neither rich nor poor but assured a comfortable living.
