Within the Sky High Plateau, the High Gods were either descendants of Izanagi and Izanami, possessing noble bloodlines of the Main God,
or they had unique origins and were conferred as local deities by Amaterasu Omikami,
or they were local deities who accrued faith over time through folktales and stories.
But among these revered gods, the Inari God Miketsu was particularly special.
She had no noble lineage, and her previous incarnation was merely an ordinary fox. She became a High God only with the help of Amaterasu, who aided in spreading folk beliefs to secure her a seat in the pantheon.
From any perspective, it seemed that the Inari God Miketsu was unworthy of being a High God.
Yet, favored by Amaterasu, Miketsu briefly reached the Peak Stage of the High Gods, just one step away from the position of Main God, which greatly annoyed many self-proclaimed noble deities.
