When one mentions the command amulet, this tiny trinket made of bones belongs to the same system as the "Festival wand" of Spiritual Energy, allowing its holder to issue commands to the silent and cold "Underworld Knights".
However, this trinket isn't the "Life Box" of the undead knights; the commands it grants aren't compulsory. The "Underworld Knights" do have the authority to refuse those commands, but given their indifferent posture as the deceased, the refusal to execute commands is unlikely.
In this case, Lame Claw is quite cunning, not giving Hog the knights' "Life Box" implies that Hog could only "rent" them.
Should their collaboration break down, Lame Claw holding the "Life Box" would need just one command, and the seven "Underworld Knights" could turn traitor and behead Hog right there.
This was somewhat of a "get something for nothing" stunt executed by that maniacal member of the Wolf People.
