Professor Chen, who always referred himself as Old Chen, was in his sixties now, amiable and still maintaining the deportment of the older generation of intellectuals. It was said that in his youth, he had been working in several design institutes and even had the potential to pursue a controlled career, but he never set foot in it. Eventually, after many rounds, he returned to his alma mater as a tutor in the design department.
He did not dislike the job of teaching.
