As the last grain of sand fell through the blood red hourglass held by Lady Adel at his side, Murphy said in a low voice:
"Maxim Sena Vlad, come forward!"
"At your service, sir."
The deep response came from beneath Maxim's full-face vulture helmet.
He handed over his spirit energy poison blade and ceremonial black sword to Bonnie nearby, took a deep breath, and strode up the red carpet to stand before Murphy.
Then, under the watchful eyes of the smaller players, this loyal servant kneeled on one knee in a standard knight's salute, took off his own mask, and revealed his exceptional face.
"I ask you, Maxim, are you willing to give up the right to be born as a human tonight and awaken in the crimson rush of the Sin's Blood?"
Murphy asked gently.
Although his voice was soft, under the boost of psychic spells, every player could hear clearly, and Maxim's response was loud and clear as thunder.
"Of course, sir, it's my honor!"
"Very well."
