After Murphy took care of Jed, the ambush against the colorblind bastard vampires was a total victory; out of the seven personal guards of the Clan Leaders that included Jed, six were eradicated.
The old knight Finoc single handedly killed two, while the other three fell under the collective pursuit of other witch hunters.
The reason the last one wasn't killed wasn't because he was lucky and fled.
Instead, that guy had gone mad due to the invasion of the Star Realm's filth in his brain, and after fighting and then suddenly running from the witch hunters, he ran headlong into Lady Cui Si who was returning to the city. After a conversation that no one else knew about, the Clan Leader's guard named "Bonnie" astonishingly defected on spot, and was taken under the control of the omnipotent Cui Si.
The witch hunters did not choose to continue their pursuit because of their temporary collaboration with Murphy.
