"You were supposed to lead eight blood servants to back up Sir Morphy. You know that in Jed's eyes, we low-ranking blood servants are nothing more than pawns. You know how that mission would have ended...

What answered him was a wave of silence and sudden murderous intent.
With a push of Vampire Arthur's arm, Maxim was thrown out. He then adjusted his posture, steadying his footing with the sword tip pointed downwards.
"Isn't it good to survive?"
Blood wings spreading and closing behind Arthur, in the more and more indifferent wind, a few tumbleweeds seemed to pass by their feet as though the two men weren't there. Arthur, now a true vampire, spoke with a deep voice:
"Why do you still cling to those things that make you unhappy? You know, I was really happy when I saw you came back alive, my monster brother."
