They only truly die when they perish in the Star Realm, a trait oddly similar to some demons in other worldviews.
"Whoosh"
The trembling Swift Sword thrusts forward. With a flick of Murphy's wrist, a bloody eyeball was slashed out of the Star Realm mountain cat's eye socket. Agony drove the beast mad, but without its eyes, claws, and tail, it was merely waiting for death in front of Murphy.
Two minutes later, Murphy jabbed his sword into the mountain cat's ear, scrambling its brain and thereby neatly securing his victory in this hunt.
The rewards were both a sense of accomplishment, and much more tangible:
