After three days and two nights of rapid travel, Murphy's caravan was once again drawing closer to Cardman City, according to their current speed, they would arrive in half an hour.
The contour of the big city, located on a plain not too far from a river, nestled among the hills, was entirely visible to them.
Over these past two days, the game players had become accustomed to logging in freely and planning their gaming hours wisely. They would leave a "sentry" online, so that once the caravan arrived at a village or stopped to rest, others could log in, to avoid wasting the precious playtime while traveling.
The postures adopted by the players when they were offline were quite peculiar.
Murphy once went to see for himself. They lay like corpses on the two big wagons reserved for them, looking like people sleeping— occasionally snorting or turning over— and their sleeping poses were uncannily realistic.
