Cardman City had stood for 400 years, and while the vampires had no interest in observing the living conditions of their so-called "livestock" and "food supply", they had nonetheless made a few large-scale renovations to the city's sewer system. This has led to even more concealed "underground areas" in the already intricate system.
Murphy had heard rumors about these "old areas". It was said that even the city's gangs dared not enter rashly, and there were terrible things hiding in there.
As it turned out, there indeed were terrifying things!
Murphy had seen them with his own eyes.
The entire dried-up sewer ruins before him were dotted with corpses of malevolent entities. The ghouls were in a pitiful state, with hardly a full corpse left.
It was as though they had been hit with heavy objects, burst into disgusting pieces upon landing.
Loud battle noises resounded from the darkness ahead, indicating someone was still combating the ghouls and resentful spirits there.
