Yet, over a hundred individuals marching with bright torches under the guidance of the vampires deep into the thick of the night was quite imposing. At least, it deterred those fearful creatures lurking in the shadows from randomly appearing.
Such invisible fellows were manifestations of the filthy energy in the Star Realm guided by human emotions. Simply put, the more the collective fear was dispelled, the number of despairing monsters would proportionately decrease.
In simple terms, the more afraid you are of it, the more it multiplies.
