From the moment Sky-north Prison was breached, when the Demon God Origin descended, heading straight for Tuntun, Chu Liang had considered that if Tuntun was truly in danger, he would have to take her into the White Pagoda at all costs; he could not possibly let her be killed.
Later, everything went according to plan, and the Demon God was captured by the Universe Ring. Chu Liang, therefore, did not take Tuntun back. Given that all the great powers above were watching, Tuntun was the center of attention. Acting rashly at such a time was unnecessary, and it might even risk exposing the White Pagoda.
When the matter concluded, and they had successfully slain the Demon God, Tuntun was no longer under such great threat, and he could then take her away.
