When Chu Liang arrived at the Nanyin Square residence, he found it deserted. He was about to leave when he saw a figure emerge silently from the shadows. It was Shen Qingyan.
Her face was cautious, but once she recognized him she relaxed.
"Miss Shen, what's going on?" Chu Liang asked curiously, "Why are you the only one here?"
"The members of Nanyin Square seldom participate in the Imperial City battle, so they have all gone out to celebrate," Shen Qingyan explained.
She invited Chu Liang to sit down and they began to converse.
"Why didn't you join them, Miss Shen?" Chu Liang said, then asked, "You seemed on edge just now, what are you guarding against?"
"Sigh." Shen Qingyan sighed lightly.
