The eaves hung like a cliff and the wind chimes echo like the sea.
The tall palace walls of the inner garden divided the sky into square segments. Birds surfing the wind would appear and disappear in a blink of an eye.
A woman dressed in a purple and red palace dress sat by a water body, lost in the dance of the fish on the water surface. Her appearance was bright, clear, and uniquely beautiful; wherever she was, it seemed like a painting.
"The ancients describe beauty as 'fishes drown and wild geese fall.' Our Princess Consort surely rivals that description, doesn't she?" A palace maid whispered with a giggle, "Every time she sits here, these pond fishes swim over and blow bubbles as if they want to get close to her."
"Stop speaking nonsense," another palace maid rebuked.
The joking palace maid was slightly younger and didn't quite understand the rules. She just stuck out a tongue nonchalantly.
