Drums and gongs thundered, fireworks erupted, red flags fluttered and crowds flocked.
With the thunderous steps that shook the earth, a fierce giant beast with a long mane like a lion and scale armor similar to a dragon's entered the city. This beast stood taller than ten feet, despite deliberately restraining its size.
It was the mythical beast Suan Ni, the steed of the great General Wu Anmin.
Atop the beast, Wu Anmin was dressed in bright red armor, his sword-like brows and hawkish eyes radiating authority. Despite the cheers of the countless citizens of Yu City, he didn't seem very happy.
But that's normal. For any great general of the Yu Dynasty, leading thirty thousand troops to attack a small island with a population of just over twenty thousand was not something to be proud of.
