He Wencheng didn't leave that evening either.
Su Yin had originally planned to order takeout.
But He Wencheng said, "Su Le just got back from the detention center, shouldn't we eat something nice?"
After thinking it over, Su Yin agreed.
So, she had the supermarket deliver a raw chicken and some of Su Le's favorite dishes.
She made chicken soup for Su Le.
And cooked his favorite dishes.
At dinner time, Su Yin called Su Le out to eat.
Su Le had been locking himself in his room all this time, and though Su Yin wanted to talk to him, she was stopped by He Wencheng.
He said that Su Le was grown up now, that he would consider many things on his own, and needed his own space to process or to grieve.
By going in directly, she would instead be making Su Le put on a facade.
Su Yin thought He Wencheng made a lot of sense.
So she didn't bother Su Le until now, at dinner time.
She hesitated, then went to knock on Ji Zhihan's room door.
