Bai Lu did not see Su Luo. Instead, at the entrance of the Duke Residence, she ran into Jiang Shu who was about to leave.
She and Jiang Shu weren't exactly familiar with each other—they had merely exchanged brief nods on various occasions.
Jiang Shu seemed to be heading out. Under normal circumstances, he would have merely nodded and left, but today he stopped in his tracks, a faint smile playing at the corners of his mouth: "Viscountess, are you here to see Luoluo?"
Bai Lu halted in her steps and looked up at Jiang Shu.
He was tall, standing there with the light illuminating him. His skin, already fair, now seemed to glow brightly, forcing Bai Lu to almost squint her eyes at the sight.
Surprised, she paused for a moment before responding: "Actually, telling the Princely Heir the same thing would suffice. If it's convenient for the Princely Heir, could I take up a bit of your time?"
The smile on Jiang Shu's face deepened. "Of course."
