As the days passed, Creed, who had been unconscious since the intense battle with the basilisk. One day, Creed finally stirred from his slumber, his awakening accompanied by the lingering effects of a troubling nightmare from their old world.
The attentive nurse who had been attending to him immediately rushed to inform Lila about the news. Lila, the ever-dedicated guild coordinator, wasted no time and went to check on Creed. She found him in his clinic bed, the bandages covering his body illuminated by the soft light filtering through the window.
Lila leaned closer to Creed, her voice filled with concern. "How are you feeling, Sir Creed?" she inquired, studying his condition carefully.
Creed, despite the grogginess of his awakening, managed a determined expression. "I feel great. I had never been asleep so well like this before."
Lila was momentarily taken aback and couldn't help but wear a sheepish expression. She gently revealed the truth to Creed. "Uh... uhm, you have been asleep for 3 weeks now... hehe."
Creed's eyes widened in surprise. "Really? That long?" he exclaimed, scratching his head in disbelief. "Man, I must have been really knocked out of that battle."
Lila couldn't help but make a chuckle at Creed's reaction. "Welcome back, I guess," she said with a warm smile, relieved that he had finally regained consciousness.
With newfound determination, Creed began to don his armor and tactical accessories, piece by piece, the metal plates connecting with satisfying clicks. Lila continued to fill him in on what had happened during his extended absence.
He spoke with a warm smile, "Oh yeah, while you were out, the two of them have been doing really well, you know. Especially Kyru. When you were injured, he was devastated. It seems he truly cares for his subordinate."
As Creed continued preparing himself, he couldn't help but notice a certain nurse nearby who appeared to be more than interested in his current state. Her open admiration didn't go unnoticed.
"Whoa," she couldn't help but exclaim, her gaze fixated on Creed's fit figure.
Lila, noticing the nurse's behavior, cleared her throat and raised an eyebrow, wearing a mischievous grin. "Ahem... Do you have something else to do?" she inquired, not-so-subtly hinting that it might be time for the nurse to leave the room.
Startled and slightly flustered, the nurse quickly mumbled an excuse and hastily exited the room, leaving Creed and Lila alone.
Creed and Lila rejoined Kyru and Shiiyo in the guild lobby. Shiiyo greeted Creed with a warm smile, "Welcome back, Captain. Glad to see you on your feet again."
Kyru, with his usual enthusiasm, asked, "Ready for another operation, Captain?"
Creed returned their smiles, feeling grateful for the camaraderie they shared. "I'm glad both of you are well," he said sincerely.
Lila watched the trio with pride and warmth as they shared a moment, fist-bumping and reciting their motto. "Till all are one," they said in unison, a testament to their unwavering unity, determination, and their commitment to facing whatever challenges lay ahead as a tightly-knit team.
