Leaving the matter of Yusuf aside, Gates was sure he would come to him instead...
His next course of action was decided, he would go straight home...regardless of whatever scheme he cane up with, they would just try to investigate...it would be different if he had the skills to act on his thoughts but sadly, he did not.
Making his was towards the centre of the town, where the wealthy and the Nobles lived, Gates was from a family of both. Following the death of Amon Gates, the character that he embodied currently, there was no investigation to his death as a rumor had spread that he ventured into the Alpine forest to probe himself to his family.
That however was not the case, it seemed someone had drugged him and used a trleportation spell to send him into the area that Gates woke up in, meaning that Amon was dead even before Yusuf came...maybe to dispose of the body properly.
As he walked, Gates felt alot of glances at him, most were hostile and the rest of pity and envy, no one stopped him however, looking around to try and get the feel of the place, a carriage stopped beside him.
Dark blue painted carriage with silver designs that suited its intricate craftsmanship, and the insignia of a large wall with dark Gates glistening in silver outline as well.
The carriage door opened and he saw a face, it was a young man seemingly older than Gates by a few years, his dark hair and eyes were a sign of relation to Gates himself as he walked close to the carriage where the young man smiled at him,.
"Youngest Brother, why are you outside? Without your escort no less..." He questioned as he motioned for Gates to come into his carriage which Gates did, curious about this person who had called him brother.
The Gates family had three sons and a daughter with the girl being second to the last...and Gates being the last son. The first son was under the direct ascension of the family, the second was an unruly one, and the sister was prideful.
"Brother are you just coming back?" Gates asked in an innocent tone, he knew of course that he was still in the body of a child, he had to act like it, at least until he found the identity of whom wanted him dead.
"Ah, I went for a ride outside the city walls, to clear my head..." He said, judging by how he answered, it was indeed strange to Gates, why would he leave this large city to go outside just to clear his head?
"Okay, I was heading back home, though I think I lost my way....the city is big." Gates said innocently as he stared out the window, feigning interest in something, anything.
Maybe because of his actions and his brothers suspicious actions, none of them spoke a word until they reached the house, calling it a house was an understatement.
Reaching the gates to the Gates Family Manor, its size was stupendously massive, and the land around it was twice its size fitting different things around it, a fountain, the horse's yard, the training grounds, a courthouse...
Gates couldn't help but gulp at such a scene, as they entered the estate, the guards at the gate greeted the two.
"Greetings Young master Ronald and Youngest master Amon." The two guards bowed as they said their greetings. It was not necessary to greet them back, however as Ronald was the heir to the Gates family, they were as much his men as his father.
"Nice work you two." He complimented as the carriage passed, the two guards seemed to beam with a bit of joy, as they had not expected anything and just showing their respects.
Amon turned to look at Ronald, now that he knew the name, he understood why he treated him differently...albeit from the rest of his family members.
Unlike his second brother and sister whom treated Amon with disgust as he was the only one not born to mana, even a pathetic one...Ronald treated him in the name of shame and pity, he preferred that I was not seen in public only to disgrace the name of the Gates family any further.
So unlike the constant bullying and abuse from his second brother and sister, He felt it worse to get such a feeling from his eldest brother...as Ronald did not find looking at Gates worthwhile.
"What are you looking at?" Ronald said, his former persona of concern dropped as he looked at Gates with a shameful look.
"...Nothing" Gates replied as he got down from the carriage which had stopped in front of the entrance to the Manor, walking away and getting inside he did not wait to hear anything from Ronald nor did he want to meet anyone else from the family yet.
He had to organise his thoughts.
Though it seemed fate had another thing coming for him as he walked through the halls of the Manor, seeing a maid he asked her to lead him to his room.
Looking at Amon with eyes filled with disgust, she led the way, Amon paid no mind to her rotten behaviour as he walked after her...His eyes wondering towards every corner of the Manor as they walked.
She led him up the stairs until they were two floors above where he met her then turning to the right and leading him towards the end of the hall, where a door was positioned, it's handle dusty as well as the door.
This was the first time he saw dust in his entire walk reaching here, even the stairs reflected his features...opening the door, the inside of the room was even more dusty than the door, the sheets were not washed, and left as they were, the room scattered and untidy as a certain smell permeated the air.
He turned back to look at the maid, angered by such madness...
'Maybe the character could have accepted such stupidity but I cannot.'
"Who the fuck did this shit to my room? Go get me the head maid"
The maid looked taken aback by the outburst, everyone in the Gates family knew that Amon was timid and scared.
"Youngest master, maybe you should..."
/TWAH/
A slap was heard, as the maid heard ringing in her right ear, looking back to see the one who had hit her.
"I SAID, GET ME THE FUCKING HEAD MAID"
