Chapter 33 - THIRTY-THREE...

"Now, Sar'har...I think that makes it two lives you owe me huh" Gates said as he turned to her, his entire demeanor showing that he was serious however his height compared to hers was too significant to ignore.

"Yes, what do you want?" Sar'har said as she went on her knees, she was an orc, when a debt of life was made, it was meant to be paid and she owed two lives...she had no choice in the say of her life anymore.

"Good, sign this contract." Gates said as he brought out a contract, out from his spatial ring...but unlike the type of contract that Yusuf and Rosalia had signed, this magic Warrior was signing a slave contract.

Without looking at the details of the contract, she signed it, knowing fully well that the traditions of orcs were not something her rebellious nature could fix...

"Okay, let's get going." Gates said as he started on his way towards his first location, the basilisk.

Reaching its body, he dove his hands into the chest, removing its heart, and magic core which allowed it harness and use magic.

A magic core was circular in shape, it contained the refined mana of the beast it came from and using it, one could increase the amount of mana they had...the same went for the heart of a magical beast much like the basilisk... about to leave, Gates turned but then halted, feeling disgusted a bit he shook the irritation off as he went towards the hole he made at the head of the basilisk, ripping apart its skull, he brought out its brain and put it inside his spatial ring, and extracted the remaining eye and fangs...he wanted it to die in dignity but each of these things were important.

"I have to at least say goodbye to my tribe." Sar'har said to Gates as she inched closer to him, he raised his hand to halt her,

"Family is overrated, tribe all the same. Let's go get what I need then if you want to stick with that weak tribe of yours till I call or they die, be my guest." Gates said roughly as he put his flight spell, lifting rosalia as Yusuf did the same for him and Sar'har.

Now they were all on the same boat.

As they flew, Gates needed more materials, for himself and for his team and he had the best place..The basilisk lair.

Gates had a clue where to find it, but first he needed to make some noise, he turned to Yusuf,

"What's the spell for earthquake?"

Yusuf said the chant as Gates listened, he thought that Gates was just asking to know just in case of a situation but he also wondered of all spells why the earthquake spell.

"Oh? Yeah, time to make some noise." Gates said as he was sure that they were deep in the forest now,

Taking the axe from Sar'har, Gates undid the spell of flight from himself as he dropped quickly towards the ground all the while chanting the spell that yusuf taught him. He channelled a bit of his mana into the axe and around his body as he reached the ground, swinging the axe, the force from the drop, his mana and the impact of the axe and the ground made the spell all the more powerful, a thunderous earthquake shook the entirety of the forest.

The ground shook and rippled as cracks ran all around the spot the axe hit with the ground,

"Crack"

Gates flew back up to the sky as he looked at the axe in his hands,

"Hm, seems the axe couldn't handle that little hit." Gates commented as he gave Sar'har her axe back, continuing on their journey as birds of different breeds rose to the skies, some big, some small and some in various magnificent numbers.

The ground shook with the tremor of land animals running around lost in directions as they thought what happened before to be a natural disaster that was about to make the forest become much worse that it is, a migration...No, a forced migration, that was Gates plan to force out the Basilisk.

Spotting something in the skies other than them, the birds flew towards them to attack...some of them visibly having different elements flowing around them.

"Youngest master, we cannot fight them in the air." Yusuf said as he raised his hands, that was until a Loud roar or scream came from the direction those birds had come from

"Well, we won't need to..." Gates said confidently as he flew towards the birds, whom hearing the scream started to fly in different directions, they knew, Gates knew, and now the team knew, what was coming...

"A-another basilisk?" Sar'har stammered trying to get her words across...

Out from the horizon, a figure with wings that spanned twice the size of the former one, and a body even much more bigger than that too flew over the large expanse of the forest making it seem like it was its kingdom,

Any creature of the sky that saw it cowered in fear, either, losing their ability to fly or turning into stone and falling, shattering into pieces from impact from the height.

As it neared them, Gates shook his head, acknowledging the imagination of the author as well as denying the claim of the orc, his magic Warrior..

Stopping a couple meters of distance apart, The basilisk tore a look at Gates before looking at those behind him, then looking down to the ground where the crater from the impact of Gates and his work of art made to the territory of the Basilisk.

Not daring to look into its eyes, every single one of them knew that one look and that was their end...

"SSSS!!!!" A hissing sound could be heard quite clearly in this calm, misty but very turbulent forest as Gates smiled, he was right after all,

"Well, no....This here is the mother of that little one we killed, hahah"
