Chapter 67 - October Revolutionary Parade

In the wild of Siberia, Orgarkov was on a military base, observing the military exercise conducted by the Blue and Red Army. The Blue ones are his newly reformed troops that are trained in information warfare, and equipped with the latest developed electronic warfare devices and equipment. In contrast, the Red ones are just the traditional Red Army, equipped with a large number of tanks and armoured vehicles, trying to overwhelm the Blues with overwhelming numbers.

The forces of both sides are one division of the Blue Army and one army group of the Red Army. Now the results of the military exercise have come out, the Red Army was defeated, completely defeated.

In the first hour of the exercise, almost all command posts of the Red Army have been found out by the Blues UAV, and next, is the artillery bombing, missile precise strike on it. Every army that experiences this may immediately lose its organization and start to escape. But the Red Army are different, from their original thought of nuclear war, they already know the possible consequences of it, where the troop on the front line may lose communication with the command post.

So, in the training, and also in one of the bad cultures of the Soviet army, the middle and base officers will just mechanically continue to perform their attacks again and again according to the script or plan. It might be working, as they will also use their tactical nuke as one of their major weapons, but now, the Blues information warfare is making them not even get the chance to use it.

Most of their troop had been eliminated before contacting with the Blues, the tactical nuke troops from the army group even got destroyed at the beginning. Under the guide from the recon UAV, Blue armoured forces penetrated Red weak point, forming a circle and another.

The Blues always spotted the troops' gathering place quickly and destroyed it with strong and precise weapons.

In the exercise, it proves that information warfare does not mean that the grand depth operation theory is no longer useful, but can be more effective with the help of information warfare. And yet, it continues with the Soviet ideas, where the weapon should be cheap and can be mass-produced, where the UAV that is used the most suits all the requirements.

Orgarkov looks at the report and comes with a satisfied smile, this is still the primary thought and reform for the army he wants. There is still much that is not done yet, in his thought, the final version should be where even a squad can call for air support before the ground forces reach the battlefield, and the strategic forces and air force can launch a precisive strike on all the spotted enemies and causes heavy damage on them.

By this time, his adjutant came to him.

"Comrade Marshal, Moscow ordered. The October revolutionary anniversary is coming, and by tradition, we need to have a parade. We were supposed to have one last year, but the war interrupted it. The central committee asked us to organize a grand military parade, including those trophies we get, we need to let our people know what have we done in the past year."

Orgarkov after listening, said calmly.

"Well, we did this a few times before, you know the process. Just ask the Air Force and the Navy to take what they got the best to it."

"Affirmative."

November 7, 1980.

Moscow's Red Square is adorned with banners celebrating the 63rd anniversary of the October Revolution. The air is crisp with the chill of early November, yet the atmosphere buzzes with energy. Thousands of citizens, workers, and soldiers stand shoulder to shoulder, waving red flags emblazoned with the hammer and sickle.

Representatives from the other countries, the Karak, the Valeria and the Thalor. The Soviet Union also built a diplomatic relationship with them under the introduction of Karak.

As usual, before the parade starts, Brezhnev gives his speech. On a grand podium beneath the Lenin Mausoleum, he steps forward to address the gathered crowd. His speech is broadcast across the Union.

"Comrades, today we honour the great October Revolution, the moment our people rose to cast off oppression and build a society of equality and progress. This parade is more than a show of strength, it is a testament to the unity and determination of the Soviet people."

"Last year, our nation faced numerous challenges, the transfer to this world, an invasion of the undead and orcs, and attacks by unknown underwater creatures. We encountered difficulties unlike any in human history. Yet, despite these foes, the Great Motherland remains steadfast. This resilience is not due to anything else, but to our brave comrades, the people of the nation."

"Together, we will secure the legacy of socialism for generations to come. Long live the Union! Long live socialism! Ura!"

"Ura!"

"Ura!"

"Ura!"

As Brezhnev finished his speech, three huge "Ura" sounds echoed throughout the Red Square, motivating everyone here. It is from the soldiers in the formation and also from the people.

Honour, pride, and confidence show on their faces. The Red Army has proven that they are the strongest in the world, whether in the original or here.

Orgarkov stands on the car moving in front of the formation, salute to all the soldiers, reviewing the troops.

Next is the beginning of the parade. First, soldiers from the ground forces marched, followed by the paratroopers in their blue berets and telnyashkas, and finally, the Marines from the Navy, dressed in their black uniforms. They all marched in precise formation.

What difference from the past years, all the soldiers who participated in the parade now, had some medal in front of them, and their eyes were filled with murderous intent, which could only be for people who had been on the battlefield.

After that, it is one of the highlights in every parade, the column of armoured vehicles. The rumble of tank treads shakes the ground as they roll past. The first that rolls past is tank column form with T-72, and the next is the T-80.

"Comrade, I am glad to introduce you to the latest tank model of the Great Motherland, the T-80U."

Even without the introduction from the guide, people can still remember this tank and its unique sound from the gas turbine engine. Then, it is all the new equipment, for example, the TOS-1, the BMP-3, BTR-80 etc. Some of the equipment has been serving in the army for some time, but until today, they are only open to the public.

At the end of the armoured column, there is one more extra part that is only available for this year. These are some of the bodies that the Red Army collected from the battlefield, on one of the trucks, a burned nine-headed dragon was tied on it. Additionally, there are various kinds of corpses that the orcs and undead possess. The goblins, orcs, dragons, undead, vampires, undead calvary, there is too much to count.

Those creatures that once only remained in the story, are now shown to the public in front of them in reality. Most who stay in the country, only see them on TV and in newspapers, when these are shown in front of them, the shock brought is more than seeing it on the TV.

Followed by the armoured column is the ballistic missile column. Of course, these columns are mainly for people in the country to see, people from the local does not knows their different.

After that, the helicopters, MI-28 hanging the Soviet Flag, fly above the Red Square. Various types of fighters and planes also fly by trailing smoke in the colours of the Soviet flag. And In the end, the best part is that big white bombers fly by. A Tu-160 escorted by a few Su-27 fly by the Red Square.

The presence of the Tu-160 immediately ignites the whole audience. Citizen cheers crazily, some waving the Soviet Flag, some taking the picture of the plane non-stop.

Of course, those who have the biggest emotional feelings, are those who are locally from the world. Everything that appears in the parade today shows the power of the country.

A representative from Valeria somehow feels desperate. He told to the representative from Karak,

"It is difficult for us to build the same thing as them to be honest, even a single nail on their tank will take much time for us to build one. The material they use is much stronger than ours. I'm afraid if the Soviets came with this, our weapon can only do limited damage to them."

Karak representative did not reply after hearing his words, because this is bullshit that everyone knows. How will the Karak look for an alliance if they see a chance to win? The Karak has seen not only one time how the Soviet War Machine works, but this is the first time that the Representative from the other two countries has seen it.

Aria and Serina stand near the edge, dwarfed by the grandeur of the parade. Aria feels a chill, not from the air, but from the unyielding display of power and the people's fervour. She watches the planes with a mix of awe and wariness, the message is clear, the USSR's reach is immense, and its ambition even greater.
