Surprisingly, not long after they two continue their journey, they reached a new building built by the Soviets. Serina who has been to the USSR recognizes this, it is a train station. Railways have already connected to one part of it, and on the other parts, the Soviet worker is still using their mechanized machine to continue their construction.
Both were spotted in a very short time. To assist the Soviets with construction, the Karaks sent some troops to protect them, most of the time, they were primarily responsible for clearing the way and communicating with the Karak people. These troops are local security forces, trained slightly better than conscripts, and are tasked with maintaining local law and order.
"Yo, yo, two of you, get out of here. Don't you see that our allies are helping us to build? Get away from here, don't block them from constructing." A Karak soldier came to warn them while having a Soviet soldier provide chocolate on his hand.
"Get lost, we are the representative of the Karak with a mission to the USSR, inform the Soviets, and ask whether they can give us permission to sit on their train to the New Port." Aria said to the soldiers proudly, she can't deal with the Soviets, can't she deal with the soldiers of Karak?
The soldier seems to get to know that the two people in front of him are someone with high ranks in the kingdom, yet, he still says without care,
"Alright, alright. I will inform them, but just to let you know, I can't decide for them." Finished saying, he finished the chocolate on his hand and picked up another bar from his pocket walking slowly to the station."
10 minutes later, he only came back slowly with the good news.
"You girls are lucky, the train will be back soon, you can take a ride on it."
Two girls were arranged to sit on one of the train carriages, of course, it was in the open air, since the priority now was to transport supplies, escorted by groups of guards guarding every carriage and their position.
The train travels quickly back to the New Port, and two girls behind the carriage enjoy the view on the journey.
Feeling the Soviet's vehicle that is a few times faster than the Karak's fastest one. Many emotions were raised inside Aria's heart, most likely the same as the Serina when she first time visit the USSR.
The train speed is fast, only takes a few hours, it reaches where they will need a few days to reach with footsteps.
But the more close to the port, the more strange they felt. This alerted both of them, nothing is proof there is anything different now, just some sense and feeling, but soon, they will know their feeling is true.
The roars from the sky attracted their attention. A few flying objects fly over them.
Aria, who did not see them before, did not what is it. But Serina who has seen, knows.
"Oh shit! Those are missiles, missiles! What happened, has the Soviets begun war with us?" A look of horror appeared on her face.
Getting the reminder from Serina, Aria only remembers that there is intel once telling that the Soviets have weapons like this, and every one of them dropped, will cause great destruction and damage.
No time for her to think, she immediately closed her eyes and started to chant the spell and start the cast. But it took too long before she even finished, the missiles had already flown away. When she opened her eyes again, there were only the flames left by the missiles.
Without any way, she could only cancel her magic. In contrast, is the cheers of the Soviet soldiers.
"Serina, why did not you do something just now, you should know that these Soviet weapons are aiming at our people and cities, how much damage and casualties will they cause if one of them lands on it? No matter how you think, I believe the war has already started, prepare to fight." She said madly and seriously on her.
"Calm down, Aria. Do you see all the guards here? We are already dead if it is war, perhaps it is just the Soviets are making some other agreement with the kingdom."
By this time, Aria only realizes all the guard are pointing their rifle at both of them and ready to shoot. Even she has not seen the power of a rifle, as an army that can defeat millions of undead, can't their soldier's weapons be useless and not able to deal with someone with magic?
"Maybe all our doubts can be solved when we reach New Port."
And yet, their doubts are all solved when they reach. But also, the Soviets gave the Karak a little bit of a modern superpower surprise.
Both of them look at the sea shockingly. This is their first time seeing so many warships, forming a spectacular scene. Very few Karak ships are just like toys compared to those.
The sea that was originally blue, did not become red. Looking in more detail, there are many corpses on the sea, those they once called the sea monsters.
Kirov-class battlecruisers, one of the strongest ships among all the ships here, where most of the sailor sees it as the flagship of the fleet, fired its missile while shooting at the sea monster. The missile's tail flame almost covered the entire hull.
Of course, other ships are doing the same thing. The Red Navy aircraft harrier, the Kiev class, which once has been seen as lost its power due to being stranded on land, has been sent to the Black Fleet miracles.Yak-38 and Ka-25 on it, continuously taking off from the board operating their mission.
Looking at everything in view, Aria finally understood what Serina meant many doubts can be solved, and she was right. Nothing they can do about it when facing the USSR.
