'I need to do something, anything!'
Cary was still struggling to walk after the loss of his leg. He was nowhere close to being in a fighting condition. If anything, he might as well have retired right then and there, there was little else he could do after all.
He had taken a well shaped branch to use as a cane of staff to walk with, but that still didn't help him fight. No matter what he did or thought of, he couldn't find a solution in which he was able to rejoin the fight.
He considered many options, such as asking Karve to help him move through the shadows. He also considered asking Skyla to create him a replacement leg out of light for part of the fight.
