Axel ran as fast as he could. The moment he saw Lukas begin to approach the ghast, he found their position relative to his and began making his way over.
He removed his current illusions in case it somehow affected how the ghast was acting. The last thing he wanted was for it to run away, especially if that was somehow caused by him. Because of this, however, it took him several minutes to make it there.
By the time he arrived, it was already engulfed in the sound of combat. Snapping wood, pounding earth, the subtle sound of steel cutting flesh, and the occasional howling of pain. Something had happened, of course it had. What did he expect? For Lukas not to fight it? He had already approached it after all, it was safe to reason his intention was to fight off the ghast for one reason or another.
