Axel cleaned himself off after finally killing the ghoul he had been chasing for several minutes. It was a long and arduous endeavour, but now it was over and he was taking his time to unwind from the event.
But, soon, he needed to return to the rest of the group and continue on.
'You couldn't have chosen a worse time to be injured, could you?'
It had been two days since Lukas was last a part of their scouting team. Officially, he still was, but he hadn't joined them during that time due to an injury sustained to his back. All that meant to Axel, however, was that he had to pick up some of the slack.
Cary told him about Lukas' awakening and subsequent claims of "seeing the future", but Axel couldn't care less. All that meant to him was that he was falling behind.
