Lukas walked around in confusion for a few seconds after retrieving his kusarigama, mostly making sure the ghast was dead. Sure enough, he found no evidence to the contrary.
Eventually, Cary caught up to him, similarly as confused as he was.
"What happened?" He asked.
Lukas said nothing for a while, struggling to find the right words.
"I–... I don't know, I think I killed it."
"Of course you did," Cary said, "all of its hearts are severed and it's not moving. How did you know where its third heart was?"
"Huh? It had a third heart? I thought it died after I cut its second heart."
"What do you mean? You just cut it."
"No, I cut its eye."
"Its heart was in its eye, or was its eye, I'm not sure."
Cary started coughing and drank from his nearly empty canteen. After a few moments, when the coughing had settled down, he continued. His voice was now noticeably more dry and scratchy than before.
