Lukas looked around his room to try and find the weaving supplies he had last night. However, they weren't there. His own supplies were still tucked in his backpack, but the ones he accidentally took from Maya the night prior were gone.
Seeing the message laid across his desk, he assumed she must have taken them back while he was asleep. Something didn't sit right with him about it, but he didn't really care all too much. Technically those things weren't his, and he had overslept, so what if she took them back?
He left his room and entered the common room of the barracks. It was smaller than the ones he had seen in other outposts, but it was still a space for people to relax or wait. Waiting there for him, laid back on a plush chair seemingly passed out, was Maya.
Lukas' footsteps didn't wake her, or at least get her attention. He walked up to her and gently poked her shoulder. She nearly jumped to her feet in shock and snapped her head towards Lukas.
