Lukas sat in the grassy field in the early morning. Next to him was Axel, not paying him any attention. He stared off into the endless night, the nexus, the point before the dawn. There was subtle tension, he was trapped in a moment between moments. The night was gone, but the dawn had yet to begin.
From the outside, it looked like he was trapped in thought. But in reality, he was in complete focus. He sat in the grassy field, meditating and honing his control over his body. He hadn't slept since the night before, the bags under his eyes were self-evident enough. But, similar to Skyla before him, he was still energised.
He had spent the night in complete focus. Through the thrashing wind that threatened to knock him over, or the pelting rain that threatened to disrupt his focus. Through it all, he remained focused and in control of himself.
He warded off sleep by preserving his energy, he spent his time refining his moments to conserve his energy.
