On the way to the training room within the south building, Lukas and Karve continued talking when the topic of Skyla's outburst was brought up again.
"I know you said none of it was my fault, but why did she lash out at me?"
"She's had some cruel words to say to everyone as of late, even me. But I understood where she was coming from, she had been through a lot after all. I didn't know her when she was first taken in by the Fortissimo, I'm not that much older than her. But a few years before she officially joined, I did. I got pretty close to the Starill siblings, as I was the oldest of my family."
"Taken in? What do you mean?"
Karve chuckled and shook his head.
"I'm not going to tell you about her past without her permission, but yes, she was taken in by the Fortissimo after she was orphaned. Her past is not too dissimilar to yours now that I think about it. But that might be too much."
