Lukas knocked on the door before walking in. Nobody else was in the room except for Skyla. She faced away from the door, staring out a window. She turned to face the door, but when she saw it was Lukas who came in, her face dropped in displeasure.
"What are you doing here?"
"I came here with Kai, I just wanted to make sure you were alright."
A moment passed in silence. One that filled the air with a palpable tension that hung in the air like fog. She turned away from Lukas, staring at nothing in particular.
"I hate it here..."
"...What-"
"All I get is pity and sympathy. Like I have been my entire life. Every fucking day... every day I would face the same pity, and sympathy, treated like a kid or a delicate doll rather than who I am. All for what? For them to be right? For them to say that I'm weak, and now to lose my dominant arm!? Do you see these flowers?"
She turned to him and threw the flowers at his face.
