Unlike last time, Vesa did not greet Lukas by restraining him. This time, as they got close to Mystic Camp, she ran up to them and hugged Skyla with tears in her eyes.
"I missed you such much little light! I'm glad you're alright. You even brought Vyper with you! I was wondering where the little rascal went."
She whistled and outstretched her hand, Vyper crawled out of Skyla's bag and leapt onto Vesa's arm.
"I'm so glad you're alright."
Her smile was warm and filled with love, but it betrayed what lay beneath that smile. Her body was covered in a myriad of scars and wrapped in several bandages. Her clothes had several holes and gashes in them as well.
