Like a moment frozen in time, the world fell silent and tension hung in the air. Then it all came crashing down.
The Fortissimo members roared and charged forward, ready to kill the monster. The ghast whipped its blades around injuring several members in the process. Kai went limp and fell from atop the ruined building.
Instinctively, Lukas ran forward and caught the young hunter. His eyes were closed and his chest rose and fell gently. He had passed out from all the strain he had been under. After the constant expenditure of his Frequency, and wasting all his air to belt out a battle cry, of course, he was spent on energy.
'Rest now, wake up tomorrow without a care. I'll handle it.'
Lukas ran away from the battle to set Kai down gently. When he returned he found a bloody sea of violence and pure rage. It seemed that those who were not aware of the ghast's aura had become soaked in its anger.
