All Wels had to say was that, and it took less than 10 minutes.
Wels had never been known to be a man of concise statements, at least that's how Lukas knew him. So, to hear him say something so important so quickly as if it was easily digestible took Lukas aback a little.
He knew this would happen, but knowing and experiencing are two different things. He knew, and was ready for Wels to mention the Ghast of Shorstone. He even considered him saying exactly this, that he was tracking the ghast now.
But, what he thought was only his immediate response. As he looked around, he saw a few of the others processing this information.
They were going through similar things as he was. They, too, likely knew what this meeting was about. They knew it was about the Ghast of Shorstone and that this event wasn't so far off. But, just like him, they all had a similar experience of accepting that.
