Cary quickly stopped running as the ghast approached the chain Lukas had strung between the trees. Perhaps it was oblivious, or perhaps it was stubborn, but the ghast didn't stop. It continued to persistently drag its legs forward into the chain.
Like a tree severed at its base, the ghast fell slowly and then all at once.
The forest shook with the giant's fall. The trees rustled and dozens upon dozens of birds near the immediate vicinity fled into the skies. The earth caved slightly around the ghast's impact, leaving it in a small depression.
Soon after the ghast fell, Lukas ran towards its arms as Cary ran towards its head. However, Lukas' run was more of an awkward half-run that looked like he had a limp or was about to pass out.
'What is he doing?' Cary questioned.
