There were three ghouls chasing after Cary. Each more hideous than the last. The first resembled a wolf the size of an elk. It possessed wings like an eagle, a tail tipped with the head of an axe, and multiple heads each blazing with boiling anger.
The second resembled a spider the size of a wolf. Six of its eight legs looked like those of a spider, although the hair covering them seemed razor sharp, like a glance would cut him. Its front two legs weren't legs, but instead stingers. The beast also lacked a mouth by the looks of it, although it had no such lack of eyes, all of which were human.
The last ghoul could only be described as an abomination. The others were as well, most ghouls and ghasts were, without doubt. However, there was no way to describe it other than saying it was a mass of flesh and hands. If one of the three was a ghast, then it would most likely be the third one.
