Lukas started fast with an attack to the ghast's lower heart. It, of course, avoided the slash with a calculated ease. It also hit the blade with one of the horns that ran along its back, causing the blade to bounce back. The sword was almost caught and disarmed from Lukas' hands, but he managed to avoid that.
The ghast, now seeing a new target, tried to catch Lukas off-guard and bite him. Lukas saw the attempt and avoided it, but managed to get caught by one of the ghast's claws. It dug into his side, but it was thankfully only a cut and damaged none of his organs. He nearly became grappled by it in the process, grabbed by the claw, but he recoiled at just the right time.
The other Fortissimo members present, noticing the presence of a Hunter, even if it was an inexperienced and fresh-faced one, instilled a sense of hope in them. They fought with a new vigour and lethality.
