Vesa spent an hour straight explaining everything to Lukas, from boring numbers and documentation of known ghouls that have been spotted or eliminated to how the ghouls behave and where they are generally known to be found.
Lukas paid attention as best he could, but some of it escaped him. He couldn't remember everything even if he could listen to and retain everything she told him. So, he tuned out his brain when she was talking about seemingly pointless information and focused again when the information was more pressing.
She constantly asked him questions to make sure he was paying attention. He even asked if she needed to tell him everything. But she only laughed and told him she had to, only because it could be useful given the circumstances.
Whether that was true or not, he could only know with time.
After explaining everything to him, she slouched back in her chair and exhaled deeply.
