Another day went by, much less eventful than the ones prior. By now, his body had mostly recovered enough for him to at least get out of bed on his own. However, the nurses still advised him to wait until at least the end of the week before he could leave.
He was visited by Vesa and Skyla every so often. Their visits didn't result in much, with Vesa making sure he was alright and getting him some food and drink. Skyla did resume part of their conversation from the other day, trying to talk through and see if the two of them could learn anything new.
Much to Lukas' dismay, the two of them couldn't come up with or speculate anything new. The night prior he had received the documents about events around Shorstone. Yet, once more there was nothing there for him to learn. His memory served him correctly as there truly was nothing of note in or near Shorstone in the last 5 years.
