Chapter 6 - Chapter 6. Dance of Fire and Wind

- Samira, get out of there!

Mason's voice was heard in the girl's earphone. She began to concentrate energy in her legs to quickly reach Adalard and take him to Keoni, who could stop the bleeding.

- There is no need to rush anywhere.

Samira felt the touch of a man's hand on her right shoulder. She turned her head and saw Adalard's hand. The one that the monster tore off.

The girl's face froze in horror. She couldn't follow the monster's movements, which means that now he is much stronger than her.

- What should i tear off first: an arm or a leg?

The monster smiled very widely. Now he reveled in his own strength and believed that there was no one here who could stop him.

But suddenly he felt a terrible lust for murder coming from behind him. The monster's joy turned to fear. He instinctively crossed his arms on the left side of his neck and created a protective barrier of his energy.

[Wind Path: Cleave]

A powerful blow from a two-handed sword easily split the protective barrier. The shock wave broke the monster's arms and sent him flying. However, ultra-fast regeneration healed the injury in an instant.

When the Monster stood firmly on his feet again, Walter attacked him from the right. He didn't use any advanced techniques. Enveloping his body in fire energy, the warrior continuously dealt blow after blow to the monster.

The Third had only to defend himself from the enemy's onslaught. Every time he concentrated energy in a certain part of space to try to use an attack technique, Walter would immediately appear there.

Walter's fire energy dissipated the monster's energy, interrupting his techniques. And in close combat the Third had no chance. Despite all his current strength, Walter's experience in close combat was head and shoulders above.

The warrior accurately predicted the enemy's next actions and attacked in advance to places that were least protected. The Third's body quickly became covered with burns, which were immediately healed. However, the monster continued to feel pain.

- What are you doing!?

Mason's angry voice came through the headphones, but Walter and Conrad didn't pay any attention to it.

While Walter was suppressing the Third with a series of his attacks, Conrad guessed the most opportune moment and cut off the monster's right hand with a precise blow of his sword.

When the monster was distracted by Conrad appearing on the left side, Walter took advantage of the moment and attacked the Third from the right side. The blow hit the ribs, knocking out the monster's breathing.

The Third did not regenerate the severed arm; instead, he tried to concentrate energy in it to cause an explosion. But Conrad noticed energy vortices in space and kicked part of the monster.

The explosion of energy occurred a few meters from the monster, without hitting the warriors. The Third's move was unsuccessful; not only was he unable to stop the furious onslaught of the warriors, but he also lost time, during which he received even more damage.

During the attacks, Walter created gaps in the Third's defenses, and Conrad used them to cut off the monster's flesh and limbs. Until recently, the Third considered himself a hunter, and the people gathered here as his victims. But now he saw before him two monsters, filled with an indescribable lust for murder.

With a deft movement, Walter walked behind the Third's back and grabbed both of his hands, which had managed to recover. Walter pulled them back and then kicked the monster in the spine, causing it to thrust its chest forward.

Conrad pierced the monster's chest with a powerful lunge, while Walter jumped back. Just for a second, the onslaught of attacks on the Third stopped, he immediately wanted to take advantage of this moment, but a terrible ringing sound was heard in his head, and his vision was lost.

- Finish him off.

The young girl said calmly. It was Wesley. She was lying with a sniper rifle near an overturned pickup truck. At the moment Walter and Conrad stopped the onslaught, Wesley made a clear shot at the Third's head.

Her bullets were charged with super-dense fire energy. They easily burned through the Third's defenses, leaving a small hole in his head.

The fresh wound did not heal. There was so much fire energy in the bullet that part of it remained on the monster's flesh, continuing to burn it out and preventing it from regenerating normally.

- Pathetic disappointment.

Walter said with disgust in his voice.

In addition to the fact that he was angry at the Third for cutting off the hand of one of his comrades earlier, Walter was also annoyed by the sight of the monster, because now, instead of a thirst for battle, the Third felt only fear.

[Wind Path: Vortex Blockade]

Pulling his sword from the monster's body, Conrad made a series of swings, each of which caused windy whirlwinds that surrounded the Third.

The peculiarity of these vortices was that they curved the air flows in such a way that they flowed from all sides in the direction of the Third, forming a closed circulating flow of wind energy.

[Path of Fire: Belial's Streak]

In an instant, Walter made eight blows, and dense clots of dark-colored fire in the form of fists headed towards the monster. Each clot completely burned the parts of the monster that it touched.

While in the Vortex Blockade, the fiery blows did not fade, and the wind intensified the flames. Over time, the speed and size of the projectiles only became greater.

The Third's regeneration without any problems allowed him to restore completely destroyed parts of his body. But it couldn't keep up with the increasing speed of the blows. There were fewer and fewer intact parts left of the monster's body. The third could neither move nor even scream in pain.

At the moment when all eight clots of fire became enormous in size and collided with each other, a powerful explosion occurred. The Vortex Blockade turned into a single tornado increasing in size, inside which dark fiery explosions continued to occur.

[Wind Path: Detection]

Mason analyzed the situation and gave the order:

- Everyone, go back!

Walter ran to Samira, who was so scared that she could not move. He threw her over his shoulder. Adalard was already close to the other team members.

Earlier, while Walter and Conrad distracted the monster, Toby and Patrick picked up a wounded comrade and took him to Keoni, who was currently treating him using water energy.

Konrad and Walter ran with all their might to their comrades. At the moment when only dust remained from the Third, closed in a fiery tornado, it shone with a bright purple light, and then a powerful explosion of energy occurred, which dissipated the tornado and left a large crater on the ground below.
