Chapter 1 - A giant piece of trash

Honestly how could someone the same species as me create such a thing.

To go through hours of work with endless cheers and words of encouragement.

Only to make the worst novel anyone will ever read in their lifetime!

"I mean come on! Even a toddler could write a better damn story than this!" I yelled furiously gazing at the cover of a webnovel on my laptop.

On the cover "Hero's Path" was written in some ungodly and unreadable font.

A novel set in a typical fantasy world full of magic and blah blah blah. You get it.

It was about a boy named William who dreamt of becoming a 'Hero'. A position in the story that was granted by the gods.

However the optimistic protagonist wasn't chosen by the gods to become a hero.

So William being the protagonist instead of giving up decided to still pursue being a hero.

To him a hero was a position granted by the people not gods.

And so he would begin his path to prove himself as a hero to the people.

It doesn't sound too bad does it?

Yeah..that's what I thought at first too.

I was just a poor innocent unsuspecting soul seeking to distract myself from my troubles.

The start of the novel was good and it sucked in new readers like a black hole.

It was sad to see William not be chosen as a hero.

It was exciting to see William come to his definition on what a hero was after being sad he wasn't chosen.

It was fun watching him fall and progress further.

We saw him grow as if he was in front of our very eyes.

The novel seems amazing so what makes it so bad?

Well it's the fact that the author betrayed us readers.

He completely changed the premise of the novel and destroyed Williams character.

It became a novel about how William-…. No it became novel on how some old bozo failed in achieving his dreams.

A loser without any friends or lover who laughs at his past dreams.

Just thinking about it nearly made me burst in rage.

But I held it in, couldn't break another door.

I scrolled down to the comments section and saw many other people who shared the same thoughts as me.

"What the hell was the author on? I don't think even I could take what he's taking."

"I better never find the author irl or else I'm gonna be serving life."

"NOOOOO NOT MY WILLY. AUTHOR WHEN I CATCH YOU-"

"Am I the only one concerned for the author? I mean he must be going through something to do that."

"This is worse than when my girl cheated on me with 5 guys at 5 guys…"

"Anyone know the author personally? Asking for a friend."

"Top 10 anime betrayals.(┳Д┳)"

"Haghhh….seriously what was he thinking." I sighed deeply while holding my hand to my head.

"Why'd it have to become….such... such a giant piece of trash." I lamented closing my eyes. I could feel a tear drip down my cheek

Crying may seem a bit much but damn this novel was really important to me.

It was then that I heard a notification from my computer.
