Selina emerged from the bushes cautiously with her palms outstretched, the universal symbol of surrender.
Her eyes, however, held a wary glint, reflecting the confusion and suspicion swirling within her.
Alex stood up, his gaze flickering between her and the imposing figure of Kanos, his brother he never knew existed.
"Selina," he began, his voice laced with a mixture of apology and relief, a cocktail of emotions that painted a complex picture on his face.
'I hit her hard... and she doesn't have a scratch on her. Damn... my pride is a bit hurt, but I can't say I'm upset.'

Alex stood up and sent towards Selina; he smiled at her
"I'm glad you are OK, Selina… I'm so sorry for everything that's happened," he stumbled over the words, the weight of the past few hours bearing down on him.
