Like before, Alex found himself in a new and unfamiliar body. The body was sitting upright, eyes closed, so he was unable to see anything yet.
Although the eyes were closed, he could tell it exhibited strong concentration. Since Alex couldn't see anything, he focused internally and sensed a significant amount of dark magic flowing through the body.
'This... this body... it has so much dark energy! I've never felt anything like this. This is much more potent than my own magic energy!'
He could tell the body was sitting in a chair but nothing else. The air was thick, and the room very quiet. He could hear the breathing of many others around him, but no one made any other sound.
