"Oh, you really are interesting," Elise remarked with a raised eyebrow, her voice dripping with a mix of curiosity and disdain. Yet, internally, a flicker of uncertainty began to gnaw at her; she sensed an unsettling shift in the air, something amiss that she couldn't quite place.
"Your luck… it really sucks… You ran into me," Alex retorted with a sly grin, his eyes locking onto hers with an unshakable confidence.
"You probably need a lot of time to get used to your new body. Time that, unfortunately, you no longer have."
