Leaving the trio of dragons behind Belial sets pace to face the Ice Monarch.
"You're not making this easy , are We?."
Belial dodges comet like attacks of large scale , an area of effect magic the ancient dragons are known to shell.
Each comet froze an entire section of the ground followed by a shockwave on impact throwing Belial off Nldhogg track.
Arrogantly looking upon the frozen wasteland Nldhogg smirks at Belial who took it upon himself to challenge it's reign.
"Tch." He clicked his tongue in irritation as he activated a shield spell circumventing much of the shockwave before letting go he gazes up again.
To see the Dragon having never moved an inch since their encounter irritated the usually calm Belial.
"If it comes to this I'll forgo my wellbeing." He says contemplating
Coming close to the clocktower where Nldhogg sits on his throne of Ice becomes Belial's objective, to defeat the monarch had become a secondary objective he mused
"Fire leash!." Belial summons two whips fiery chains as he springs into action
Nldhogg roars summoning another round of comets , much to its dismay Belial had completely forgone defense in favor of a complete offense.
With reckless abandon Belial slashes through comet after comet , with a few sending him reeling however he does not relent , Belial simply stands after each fall. His driving force are the memories and intrusive thoughts plaguing his mind ,Belial runs to the top of the tower.
The change in Belial's behavioural pattern sends an alarm to Nldhogg, thus is spawned lesser dragons to stand between it and him.
Belial goes into a complete frendzy whilst fending off lesser dragons, his mind set on that particular goal above him.
Cuts and bruises mattered not to the young mage , he dispatches wyvern after wyvern decapitating the heads with his fire leash.
What stood in the young mage path was nothing short of carnage. The Ice Monarch watches a flicker of interest paints the otherwise cold dragon's expression.
NIdhogg
Stands at the very top of a tower overlooking the whole dungeon premise, as if daring the young mage to step into its abode. To which the Mage took the invitation with a determined look and a crazed smirk he spoke to the embodiment of Nilfheim the Ice wasteland.
Ignoring the steps that separate him and the mighty Ice Monarch he kicks off the ground using wind magic as a propeller, he imbued His fists with the fiery chain.
"This is for making it hard." He says as he delivers a solid hit towards Nldhogg head
Knocking the Dragon back to the grounds.
"This is the last time you'd look down on anyone NIdhogg. " said Belial now face to face with the now downed ice monarch
NIdhogg roar deafens Belial momentarily as he regained his hearing he casted the magic circles in total synch with the dragon's own circles.
"With my hands I shall free and use you all as tools of revenge, Ice monarch you will die a second time!."
Belial unleashes Quadruple circles encompassing a plethora of fire spells countering a giant magic circle that Nldhogg conjured.
A battle only seen in epics ensued between the masked villain Belial and the dragon of ice or the Ice Monarch.
Projectiles of Ice and Fire negating one another as steam arises from the collision of spells, beads of sweat and droplets of blood seep from Belial as he throws his magic repertoire at the ancient dragon.
"my blood, sweat and tears serve as witness to my resolve... I'll not waver not now never ever. "
Belial howls a primal cry unleashing more circles surrounding Nldhogg .
"Burn!"
The fire burning into Nldhogg searing through its cold scales.
It cries out jaws wide open attempting to unleash a desparate attack , albeit for naught as Belial shoots lightning straight into its maws.
"I'll put you down for good , this time around."
The explosive attack brings Nldhoog to its knees.
Belial now exhausted body teemed in injuries stares down at the defeated dragon vessel as the soul leaves to follow the gate to the living realm.
"One step at a time." He says a satisfying smirk paints his face as he looks down to see his companions.
"Did you do all this yourself?." Says Ignis half impressed with the litter of corpses
"I told you Belial was amazing , you didn't believe me Ignis." Flamma says full of pride
"What's wrong with him?." Belial asks seeing Ifrit down was a first.
"He scorched his first love, he'll be fine." Said Flamma
"You can be cruel sometimes Flamma." Said Ignis exasperated
"*sigh* My first love, I wonder if I'll meet that maiden again."
"You'll meet the original someday." Said Belial uncharacteristically comforting Ifrit.
Before he sets path again , to manifest his awaited destiny as Calamity's chosen champion.
